ABOUT
ME!
Dr. Lisa Jackson, affectionately known as Dr. Duchess was born into a Belizean family in Los Angeles. She lives a free-spirited life. Dr. Duchess has three grown sons, one granddaughter, Major and Georgie, her dogs, 7 hens, and 2 roosters: Debo and Colonel Lee.
She graduated from FD Roosevelt high school in Oak Cliff and went on to enlist in the U.S. Army where she served for 8 years. By profession, for most of her career, Lisa served as an Information Technology professional. Dr. Jackson, a former college professor at an HBCU, spends her retired life flying the skies as a flight attendant. Dr. Duchess has authored two children’s books, ‘Is My Mommy Coming?’ and ‘My Name is Fedrick, F-E-D-R-I-C-K’ which can be purchased on Amazon.
In 2025, Lisa was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. With chemotherapy, immunotherapy, lumpectomy, and radiation, she beat cancer in 4.5 months!
Dr. Duchess enjoys riding her Harley Road Glide Limited, sewing and crafting, reading and writing, fishing, camping, and traveling. As a dual citizen of the US and Belize, she travels often to Belize where she also resides.
