Breast Cancer Survivor Dr. Duchess to Ride Dallas Route Shaped Like Breast Cancer Ribbon on 9/12 in Celebration of 1-year Cancerversary

Dallas, Texas — August 26, 2026

Dr. Lisa “Duchess” Jackson, breast cancer survivor, author, motorcycle rider, and advocate, will mark her 1-year anniversary of being cancer-free on Friday, September 11, 2026, with a special motorcycle ride through Dallas, Texas on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Duchess is also celebrating this remarkable milestone with the release of her newest children’s book, Girls Ride Too! on September 11^th.

The Duchess Cancerversary Ride 2026 is more than a motorcycle ride. It is a celebration of survivorship, strength, faith, and the continued fight against breast cancer. Dr. Duchess hopes the September 12 ride will inspire others to celebrate their own milestones, embrace life after difficult seasons and encourage the next generation to dream without limitations. The breast cancer ribbon route represents three important parts of her story: Survival—celebrating one year since beating breast cancer; Freedom—celebrating her love of riding and adventure; and Empowerment—celebrating the launch of a children’s book designed to encourage girls to believe in themselves.

On September 12, Duchess will ride her motorcycle through Dallas along a specially designed route that takes the shape of a breast cancer awareness ribbon. The ride is intended to create a powerful visual representation of breast cancer awareness while honoring those who have fought, are fighting, and have lost their lives to breast cancer.

“Every mile represents a part of my journey,” said Dr. Lisa “Duchess” Jackson. “This ride is a celebration of life and an opportunity to remind other women that their story does not end with a cancer diagnosis.”

Duchess hopes the ride will inspire other survivors, supporters, motorcycle riders, and members of the community to come together and spread awareness. She’s advocating for early detection and genetic testing.

The ride also serves as a personal tribute to the medical professionals who helped her through her cancer journey. Duchess extends a special thank-you to her oncology doctors and the entire team at UT Southwestern Medical Center Cancer Center for the care and support she received throughout her treatment: Dr. Wooldridge, Dr. Kanjwal, Imaging staff, Infusion staff, and Lab staff.

The Duchess Cancerversary Ride will bring together the spirit of motorcycle riding with breast cancer awareness, survivorship, and community. The goal is to turn the roads of Dallas into a moving symbol of hope.
